About the Museum Adobe Wall Repair Project
The Museum, housed in the original 1809 Convento building, is the oldest adobe building in Alameda County. It is a California Registered Historical Landmark as well as listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Funds are urgently needed to repair damaged adobe and mud plaster and to replace leaking and weather-damaged wood sash windows. This essential work will repair and prevent further damage while preserving historic building materials. We have raised 80% of the funds needed for these repairs. Help us close this $40,000 gap.
